Giveaway: Seventh Generation Free & Clear ($60 value)

I have not had a dishwasher for two and a half years. BUT. We hope to have one installed by Thanksgiving week! Can I just tell you how happy I am going to be to have a dishwasher right. before. THE HOLIDAYS!

Did you know that dishwashers actually use less water than doing dishes by hand? Let me tell you, I’m ready to start saving water! Not to mention it is going to save me a bundle on hand cream.

When Seventh Generation gave me the opportunity to try some of their products, I couldn’t wait. I’ve used so many of their other products, but never the dishwasher detergent. So I decided I really wanted to try out the Seventh Generation Free & Clear automatic dishwasher detergent pacs.

When we did have a dishwasher – 2 1/2 LONG years ago – I used the dishwasher detergent recommended by Consumer Reports.

In Consumer Reports I trust.

However, we’ve made some changes around our house and are now dedicated to finding more earth-friendly and family-friendly products. Clean is only one factor in a detergent. Consumer Reports doesn’t report on the environment or on keeping families healthy and safe.

So I determined I was in the market for a new brand of dishwasher detergent. My in-laws have a dishwasher, so that is where I tested the Seventh Generation Free & Clear.

The first thing I noticed was the smell. I opened the dishwasher – and there wasn’t one. I have a perfect scent memory of how the dishwasher used to smell – even 2 1/2 years later. The smell was a bit like the scent of an indoor pool. A scent laced with chlorine.

How did we ever equate that strong scent with “clean” and “good”?

There was no scent with the Seventh Generation Free & Clear AND the dishes came out spotless.

I’m sold. And I think you will be too. That’s why I want you to give it a try yourself.

One lucky person will be the recipient of $60 in household cleaners from the Seventh Generation including the Free & Clear line!
