How to Cook and Freeze Organic Pinto Beans

Here’s another great organic food money and time saver: cook and freeze pinto beans. This is a perfect meal starter for meals like chili, bean and cheese burritos, burrito bowls, refried bean pizza on homemade whole wheat crust… anywhere you use beans. This is by far the easiest recipe I’ve found, and in the video I show you just how much money you can save!

My favorite use for these beans? Burrito Bowls! Make up a batch for the Superbowl and use them to make your own burrito bowls. Guaranteed crowd pleaser!

  1. What exactly is a refried bean pizza??? I tried to search for it in your recipes but was unable to find anything. The link only took me to the whole wheat crust. Sounds very interesting!

  2. Hi Kelly, A refried bean pizza is a pizza crust, spread a layer of refried beans, layer on tomato slices, sprinkle with cheese and bake. When done, top slices with lettuce, salsa, guacamole or sour cream. I’m sorry I just linked to the whole wheat crust. In the whole wheat crust post I have a picture of the refried bean pizza, but I thought I also had a better recipe for it with the crust directions. I was relying on memory of what I wrote – and apparently my memory isn’t so hot! Andrea
