Organics

In trying to follow my Green Diet, I look to find the best deals on these items on the “Dirty Dozen” list and only buy them when they are organically grown:

  • Apples
  • Celery
  • Cherries
  • Grapes (imported)
  • Lettuce
  • Nectarines
  • Peaches
  • Pears
  • Potatoes
  • Spinach
  • Strawberries
  • Sweet Bell Peppers

If I see an item on the 12 Least Contaminated List that is a good price, I will buy them either organically grown or conventionally grown- price will dictate which one:

  • Asparagus
  • Avocado
  • Bananas
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Kiwi Fruit
  • Mango
  • Onions
  • Papaya
  • Pineapples
  • Sweet Corn
  • Sweet Peas
