Organics

In trying to follow my Green Diet, I look to find the best deals on these items on the “Dirty Dozen” list and only buy them when they are organically grown:

  • Apples
  • Celery
  • Cherries
  • Grapes (imported)
  • Lettuce
  • Nectarines
  • Peaches
  • Pears
  • Potatoes
  • Spinach
  • Strawberries
  • Sweet Bell Peppers

If I see an item on the 12 Least Contaminated List that is a good price, I will buy them either organically grown or conventionally grown- price will dictate which one:

  • Asparagus
  • Avocado
  • Bananas
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Kiwi Fruit
  • Mango
  • Onions
  • Papaya
  • Pineapples
  • Sweet Corn
  • Sweet Peas

  1. I love your site! I love your posts and fresh ideas! Keep them coming! Together we can cause others to become “green” and their body and the world will thank them! Bless you in all you do!

  2. Thank you Carrie! I agree. Together we can affect a change!

  3. Many papayas are now genetically modified beware. And over 90% of all corn is genetically modified as well. So stay away. Thats why you see so many products with high fructose corn syrup in them its because its GMO.
