I came up with this Straw “Bunny” Smoothie with the upcoming Easter holiday in mind.
But seriously, can you think of a day when you don’t want a bunny smoothie? One of these Straw “Bunny” Smoothies would be perfect for cheering up the kiddos on those no good, very bad days.
Since the smoothie is made with all whole food ingredients, I figured two chocolate chips and a marshmallow didn’t negate all the healthy-goodness that is inside. However, if you are looking to keep the recipe all whole food, you could use large coconut flakes for the ears and two blueberries would be good for the eyes. Or reader Susan suggested cutting some bananas into ear shapes.
To get the ears in just the right shape, simply cut the marshmallow on the diagonal lengthwise. This shape helps them “stand up” in the smoothie.
The actual strawberry smoothie recipe is very basic so it can be changed to suit your family’s preferences. Don’t love pineapple? Add extra banana. Kiddo allergic to strawberries? Substitute cherries.
Of course, you could top Blueberry Green Tea Smoothie or Chai Tea Smoothie with a bunny face too!
Also, I made the smoothie with almond milk, but if you prefer cow’s milk or soy milk, use it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk (I used almond, you can use any kind)
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cups frozen pineapple
- Homemade Whipped Cream
- chocolate chips, raspberries, marshmallows for the face
Instructions
- In a blender, frappe the milk, banana, strawberries, and pineapple.
- Pour into individual serving glasses. (Depending on the size of your glass, you get 2 to 4 servings)
- Top smoothie with whipped cream.
- Use a raspberry for the nose, two chocolate chips for the eyes, and a marshmallow cut on the diagonal for the ears.
Now that you have the kiddos covered, be sure to make some Berry Flower Straws with Cut Fruit for the grown-ups!

Very cute! I’ll be making these for sure!
