This Homemade Lip Balm is the perfect amount of moisture for even the driest lips and goes on so silky smooth. You’re going to be in heaven with this lip balm, and you’ll never go back to store bought again.
Chapped Lips Remedy: Homemade Lip Balm
- 1 Tbsp grated organic beeswax <—Exactly what I use
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil <—My favorite brand
- 1 Tsp Raw Honey
- Double Boiler (or pan and bowl)
- Hand Grater
- Lip gloss containers (What I used) OR upcycle some baby food jars!
Place your double boiler or pan filled with water on the stove on medium heat. Let it come to a boil before placing the top piece or bowl on top.
While you’re waiting take your fresh Beeswax and grate about 1 Tablespoon worth and place it in your top pan.
Add in 1 Tablespoon of your coconut oil and 1 tsp of raw honey into the bowl. Place bowl on top of boiling water and watch your ingredients melt in about 1 minute. Give it a quick stir making sure all 3 ingredients are blended together. Once everything is completely melted quickly pour into your lip containers and let sit for about 10 minutes.
You’ll notice the mixture it starting to solidify starting from the bottom up. After the lip balm has become a solid you can start using it right away, enjoy!
I placed a nice amount on my lips before bed and when I woke up my lips were smoother than ever. It seriously is the best chapped lips remedy!
